When my wife said "is there anything you want to do before you are 40?" I said I'd like to cycle from John O'Groats in the furthest flung corner of Scotland,  to Lands End where England disappears into the Atlantic Ocean.

This was a few years ago - but now I'm 39 and my forties are rapidly approaching it's this year that I'm making good on my wife's promise to give me the time to make the trip.
