For today's trainng ride Will and I headed out to Box Hill. It's about a 45 mile round trip from where I live, and we did 3 climbs in the process including Box Hill itself. Box hill, althogh its a long climb, is not so bad because it's a steady 5% climb. The climbs up towards and away from Ranmore Common, up Combe Hill and back the other way were shorter but much harder. My garmin reckoned the gradient got up to 25% at one point - yowtch!
As it's now May, the weather is much more clement and during the day with the sun out the clcling was glorious. 3 weeks to go now!
A long cycle ride from the very top of Scotland, to the furthest flung corner of Cornwall (eating as much cake as we can along the way)
